The Executive Chairman, Imota Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Benson Sunday Ayodele (BSA), has congratulated teachers in Imota, on the occasion of the 2025 World Teachers’ Day (WTD).
In a statement celebrating the international day, Hon. Benson commended teachers for their impacts, describing them as unsung heroes.
“Today, I celebrate World Teachers’ Day, and would like to express my heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to all our esteemed teachers in Imota Local Council Development Area, on this occasion of 2025 World Teachers’ Day.
“As we honour our teachers today, I acknowledge the profound impact they have on shaping future generations. Our teachers are our unsung heroes who give so much, yet receive so little in return.

” You inspire, nurture, and shape the minds of the next generations, empowering them with the knowledge and skills that will serve them for a lifetime. Your dedication, resilience, and unwavering commitment to excellence are truly commendable, as is your passion for guiding young minds.
“Today, we celebrate not only the profession of teaching, but also the significant impact teachers have on the lives of our children and the future of our society. Teachers are the builders of a brighter future.
“The role of a teacher extends far beyond the classroom; you are mentors, role models, and guiding lights for our youths. Your influence contributes to creating a more educated, informed, and compassionate society”, he said.

He called on stakeholders to join his administration to invest in education so as to create enabling environment for learning for teachers and students, and also protect the future of the community.
“Together, let us invest in the future of education in Imota LCDA, creating a community where teachers can thrive and students can reach their full potentials.
“Thank you for your invaluable contributions and for being the change-makers in our communities. Thank you for nurturing the dreams of our younger generations.
